Piggy backing on your publication can cost you money |
If you have a phone call from your local PCT, Police Authority, Learning and Skills or some other QUANGO asking for some editorial in your publication – BEWARE.
They are 'piggy backing' on your publication, playing on your good nature in order for them to promote themselves at your expense.
Why should your ratepayers subsidise their editorial or advertising? By all means let them take space but at a price. It may not be at your normal commercial advertising rates but it should be at a price that does not cost you money. If you feel embarrassed about asking for money we will do it for you to get the best deal for your council.
For an informal discussion contact Henry Tidd or Rebecca Jones. |

Make the most of your Council Publication |
With tighter financial restraints, more councils may wish to generate a greater contribution towards the production costs of their publications through advertising revenue. However, most councils do not have the resources to achieve the desired results and recruiting a sales team is both time consuming and expensive. At Local Council Media we offer a range of sales options and revenue opportunities for councils and can tailor-make solutions geared to particular requirements. We can also advise on reducing print and design costs. Our organisation already represents the councils on this website and, should you wish, we can come and see you and explain how your publication can benefit from our experience, generate income and reduce costs. We will also be publishing regular articles achieving “best value” as well as marketing ideas. If you are a councillor or council officer and would like to use our service please go to ‘contact us’ and register your details. |
